I propably know more than you about it, but i do not hype all the games like you. Nintendos big hits are splatoon, mario ( in all variants with luigi )  zelda, pokemon and metroid. I do not call animal crossing or pikmin or kid icarus or whatever big hits, or titles  a lot of people would buy a switch for. Like i said i know more than you. One of my best friends is chief of nintendo here in switzerland. I know some facts. But of course you are offended cause Nintendo lost big times in November. Sorry brah

You already have proven to be clueless

You said Switch already has Smash, it doesnt.

You said Animal Crossing isnt a big hit, the most recent title sold over 11 million. That is a huge hit.

These two statements alone mean you dont know jack shit about what you're talking about.

And no im not offended that Nintendo lost in November because if you go to the Nov NPD prediction thread you will see that i predicted it would lose to both PS4 & XBO.

You may have got the order correct but bet you didnt think both ps4 and xbox would beat the switch by 700k. The numbers is what hurting the nintendo fans atm

Mario, Zelda, Splatoon, Mk and xenoblades only pokemon is missing

Looking at all the multimillion sellers Nintendo has had during the current and last generation, I didn’t know only 5 series count as 90% of Nintendo’s big hits. You got me then. Guess series like Smash Bros., Animal Crossing, Metroid, Fire Emblem, Mario Maker, Donkey Kong, Kirby, and Luigi’s Mansion don’t exist then according to you.

That’s a lot of Mario spin-offs. But aren’t you padding that list a bit?

Boy calm down i played on nes while you probably wasnt even born loool. Because i dont give a shit about Nintendo does not mean i dont know anything about it. Like i said i tought it was a smash brothers rehash for switch uhhh he knows nothing blah blah.

You played on NES in the 80s therefore you know what you are talking about in 2017? Absolutely brilliant logic.

I really dont think anybody is hurt, Switch did good and PS4/XBO did amazing, it was an overall good month for all 3 console manufacturers and the industry in general.

My argument with him has nothing to do with sales, he just threw that in there because he doesnt want to admit hes wrong about his statement that Nintendo has already released 90% of their big games.

He did play the nes and one of his best friends works for nintendo so he knows about nintendo software more than anyone here

I don't see what the big fuss is about. Even if these numbers were true to form all it does is debunk the notion that the Switch will perform at Wii (or even PS4) levels

I know you're trying to go for a neutral and objective comment, but the tail end of it kind of ruins it. Again, the PS4's first post-launch NPD was only 61k above Switch's first NPD. And while I don't necessarily think that the Switch will go near PS4 levels(PS4 will be the 2nd best selling home console of all time after all), I don't think this would "debunk" it going near Wii levels. If anything, if we're to do this flat analysis with no context whatsoever that leads to the conclusion that Switch can't come close to Wii or PS4, than we can come to the reverse conclusion using the same lack of context. The Switch would be more likely to be near Wii or PS4 levels because it's so close to them. I know that's an exaggeration, but again that's just taking these numbers in with no context, which could be used to skew the narrative positively or negatively. In this thread, it seems to be more so the latter than the former.

All this really tells us taking context into account is that A ) The PS4 closed the gap Switch was building since it's March release(Switch had like 500k more sales than PS4 in the U.S. after March 3rd) and B ) That better deals get more sales.

Good point, but ultimately as long as the Switch manages to buck the downward trend that Nintendo consoles have been on since the NES (discounting the Wii of course), then I think Nintendo should be set for a while.  Wii-type sales is the ceiling as far as I'm concerned, and Nintendo also need not be concerned with recapturing that level of success.

Should i list know sonys million sellers? Not all million sellers are moving consoles lol. Whatever the nintendo defense force is triggered lol

You said “big hits.” Big hits does not necessarily equal system sellers.

I only mentioned 3 (if you want to include Smash Bros.).

I dont see how Smash is a Mario spinoff, by that logic its a Zelda, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, etc spinoff as well.

I can agree with that, although the more sales the better.
