I go really close with her. I usually use her kicks, punches, and her close ranged whip move. Then when the character has a high Percentage I use the whip to hit them of the stage.
Come close to me and I'm going to rip you apart. WoW's the only save for Tao that will actually fight me. Everyone else just runs and uses ranged attacks and runs away. I just give up. It pisses me off.

To be fair I use a lot of ranged attacks too. I just dislike spamming them too much though. I figure if you don't spam the Mach Tornado all the time, I won't spam them all the time. ^_^
Using ranged attacks is a valid strategy, and it is just part of the game. It may be turtling, but it certainly isn't a perfect strategy, and can be punished easily if you are good. Like with Metaknight you can often glide faster than they can run, and can glide over to them pretty quickly to neutralize the distance advantage they have.
