At first, I was impressed. Then i realized it's really just to get people off their back until it dies down and they can just pull all this shit again in a few months. Still not going anywhere near this game.

Pretty much.
Once they have their sights set on a money making scheme, they'll refuse to let it go completely. The same goes for the other AAA publishers.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
