What is the reason behind PS3 pulling ahead of 360 in weekly sales in NA? I can't see any games or features.....bluray perhaps? How is MS countering>?
Mil. Sellers:
Wii: 25 titles 101.4 mil total avg 4 mil per title
PS3: 14 titles 28.6 mil total avg ~2 mil per title
360: 41 titles 89.8 mil total avg >2 mil per title
In my opinion Blu-Ray. I mean if you look at the charts for games there really hasn't been anything released in North America that would lead to an increase.
BR to me too.
For me NA is the only market where BR really count.
the PS3 get an increased because of the BR over the Xbox360 for a quite close price.

Upcoming titles like GTA, MGS, GT5P and blu-ray. Also the price point is more reasonable so your seeing more of the buyers on the fence picking up PS3's. It was the demand that made the PS3 have such low sales, it was the pricing and the AAA titles being so far off.
Now that we will see back to back to back AAA titles being released on the PS3 it will only keep growing in sales year over year. Also, people are seein that even though the 360 has some good exclusives, this year the PS3 has all the top 5 games coming to its console exclusive or not (besides Gears 2). Buying an Xbox360 mean you miss out on GT5P MGS4 Socom and Resistance, while buying a PS3 only leaves out one must have title, Gears 2.
blu-ray is the main factor for me too. there really isn't any other reaosn why sales would be over the 360.

I assume Resistance2 is maybe one.

I think some of the stigma attached to the PS3 which hurt its sales last year has disappeared, so that might have contributed to it too. BR is definitely a big factor as well.

I wasn't including them...but Socom does have a very loyal fanbase that will want to play this new game.
Fallout 3, GTAIV, MGS4, Resistance 2, Gears 2
No order to it, but tose are my top 5.
So maybe not all top 5 but 4/5, while MGS4 will be game of the year and GTAIV will be runner up.

Ps3 is somewhat gaining popularity due to the winning of Blu-ray and the upcoming games. can not think of more currently
