Capcom's top 10 selling games:

- snip-

CAPCOM does not have a singular installment to any game series to break 10mill. Im honestly shocked by that. RE6 is nearly CAPCOM's top selling game but misses it by a measly 200k to RE5.

Wrong. Both Street Fighter 2 and Resident Evil 5 have sold over 10m.

The former counts the re-updates the game has had over the years, the later counts the Gold Edition (which Capcom has at a separated entry in their financials). Capcom also considers Resident Evil 5 their best-selling game of all time under this criteria, even though SF2 has sold better.

Street Fighter 2 has sold a total of 15m.

Resident Evil 5 has sold approximatedly 11m.

Their actual Top 10 if we put it together instead of going how their financials are reflected reads as follows:

· Street Fighter 2 - 15m

· Resident Evil 5 - EDIT: 11m (wrote it wrong the first time)

· Street Fighter IV - 8.6m

· Resident Evil 6 - 8.5m

· Resident Evil 4 - 7.5m

· Resident Evil 2 - 6.2m

· Resident Evil 1 (not counting Remake) - 5.3m

· Monster Hunter Portable 3rd - 4.9m

· Monster Hunter X - 4.3m

· Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate - 4.1m

I did say singular.

Yeah, but I see no reason to count Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition as something separated from Resident Evil 5. Heck the 360 version was basically the vanilla Resident Evil 5 disc but with a download code for the Gold Content.

How much did they project for MvCI? That's what I'm curious of.

It was something like 2m.

2 million was way too high for a game released the way MvCI was!

I dont care that you dont see you a reason not to add updates because that is not point of that post. I made it clear that I was talking single releases and CAPCOM clearly is as well (which explains the separation).

You might not care, but I'm telling you Capcom *has* a singular installment that has sold over 10m units, and that's Resident Evil 5.

I do not see the game making it to 2 million. Ouch.

...

You clearly recognize that your numbers for RE5 are a combination of the original and Gold. Why are you saying it's a singular release?

He is saying that its a singular installment, meaning that its a singular entry on the franchise, not a singular version.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
