Well the game certainly looks far better in person than in any video but its style takes a bit of getting used to as it's a bit like WW's approach of mixing cel shaded like styles with some realised 3D. No spoilers in these screens as they're intro screens.

I would say it is much more comparable to Breat of the Wild, given environments have far more fully realized detail texturally and polygonally than WW aimed to have.

Also, this is technically a variation of soft shading, not cel shading :P

so guys,i beat the game like,4 hours ago,and i just want to say,it's a really good game. Most of you already know that, cause monolith is a good developer(much better than square this days)but it really is captivating. The combat is complex but compeling when you learn how to handle it right, and the story gets better and better with time(it's not the best jrpg plot of history or anything like that, but it's remarkable for sure).

Overall,is a really cool game with likable characters, and that's all i want from a xenoblade game.Just wanted to share this here.

Edit: i have the game since monday.Since nintendo isn't in brazil,we buy stuff from the gray market. So sometimes(like this)games show before release there. It was probably stolen from somewhere, but what you gotta do.

How would you rate the game, if you had to give it a score?

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

So my copy of the game probably arrives today and I'm still not done with Xenoblade X nor have I played Breath of the Wild yet.

I need a vacation...

Question for one that has beat the game.

Would you recommend getting the expansion pass now to get the early game items? You know the:

– 50,000G
– 3 cream orange paratas (pouch items)
– 10 silver cylinders
– 5 common core crystals

They all look like items that are pretty pointless imo. But maybe they would alleviate some grinding and thus make the game more enjoyable.

No.there's really no need to.

Probably a 8,7~9.In the first hours it was a solid 7.5,but the story get really entertaining the more you play the game,so,in the end,it grabbed me.I think the important is that is a game with likable characters,so it makes you feel something, even if it is a little cringy sometimes(this is why final fantasy is not the same these days by the way,but this is a whole another topic).

overall,it's just a little under the original xenoblade to me.

The first thing I did was downloading the Japanese voice pack (0.8 GB).

Ha, that's funny. The silver haired gux with the mask who was designed by Tetsuya Nomura has the same voice actor as Cloud Strife.

I only played in japanese to the part of his introduction, and noticed the same voice. Don't know about the english one, because I don't know the voice in english.
