Wow.  On a GTS, no less.  Not even a GT or a GTX. 

Man, I really need to upgrade my GPU.  My 7900gtx is getting rusty. :|

I don't understand why people want to play Crysis the game was average at best. Is this also not the same group of people that made Far Cry, that game sucked big time.

Because the graphics are good. That's pretty much it.

And yes, totalwar23's $623 PC will do the trick, and if you spend a couple weeks watching for deals on slickdeals.net and newegg.com, you could get the same thing for even less.

Crysis also has good gameplay for the majority of the game. It's open-world and leaves you with a lot of options for attacking the enemy with the 4 abilities. The gameplay is overlooked. And yes, people overstate the cost of the PC necessary for running Crysis because they cite retail PCs. If you build it yourself you can easily get it near a console price.

So, at this point the game can´t run on high settings, and they will try to make them "look" like they are in high settings...

To much PR if you ask me...

 


 I'm not saying the PS3 will be able to do high settings...I seriously doubt it. But the bolded statement is kind of stupid...if it looks like it's on high settings, isn't that kind of the point? The goal is to make the graphics look amazing, or "high settings." If they can make it "look" like the PC version, it doesn't matter if it's really "high settings" or not...they achieved the goal, no?

 I don't see how that is trolling it contributes to the thread. Second of all the high settings isn't just resolution it is increases in in other things. You are forgetting this engine is going to the xbox 360 too. This means it's not going to use the little extra the ps3 has, and the engine is even having more problems on the ps3. Now both the 360 , and ps3 have trouble doing 1080p for very simple games, and 720p for very complex games, what makes you think that the game that pushes expensive, and graphically superior Pcs to the limit will be anything more than 720p. I find it hard to even believe it will be 720p.
