For the record, these numbers aren't rankings. Think of it as the order of vacation stops across different videogame worls.
1. Ixa'Taka (Skies of Arcadia)
There's something to be said about the luxury of nature. Few places I have ever come across in videogames demonstrate this as well as the Kingdom of Ixa'Taka in Skies of Arcadia. I've always wanted to try some of their Ixa'Takan rum. There is a problem with foreign military powers from the steam-powered Empire of Valua. For the most part, much of this beautiful world is untouched.

2. Shumi Village (Final Fantasy 8)
While far from the first vacation spot one would think of in this particular world, Shumi village is really a place no one should go without experiencing. Unlike the previous destination; in Shumi Village, technology and nature don't have to be at odds with one and other. No one merges it together better than the Shumi Tribe. Cyrus the Great of the Persian Achaemenid Empire built a garden with fountains and plants from across his known world... and he did it in the middle of the desert. The Shumi tribe did this dozens of meters below the surface of an arctic wasteland. Everything about their village is luxurious, even the elevator down! What is at the bottom is truly a miracle to observe.

3. Frontier Village (Xenoblade Chronicles)
Not to put down the nature theme just yet, something much more rustic... but hardly down to earth! This village spirals around the inside of a giant tree going up to tremendous heights. There is a place you can dive out and land in water though, if you're confident you won't accidentally hit the rocks obver to the side. The bioluminescent lights from the flowers and lanterns make the night quite brilliant in this place.

4. Gerudo City (Breath of the Wild)
Ever wanted an excuse to wear a thong and dress up in women's clothing? (Unless you are already a woman) - in Gerudo City it's a must! It seems that without men, women in the desert managed to build the most prosperous and luxurious city in the post-apocalyptic world of Hyrule. There are some other spots in Hyrule, with vast beaches and oceans, that might be better suited to a beach vacation. For those who want massages and the best luxury experience in all of Hyrule, it's Gerudo City.

5. Kingdom of Zeal (Chrono Trigger)
Of all the floating Island Kingdoms, fewer are harder to reach than the Kingdom of Zeal... After traveling 14,000 years to the past through a time portal, it's just a march across a crontinent of tundra, and then through a transporter leading into the sky. They have magic here that would make your **** turn white! An easier, and perhaps a more scenic location, place to visit may have been Shevat in Xenogears, but unfortunately no video package exists without some yappy person talking through the entire video. On the other hand, for many people, The Kingdom of Zeal was the first time they had ever visited a civilization floating on islands that wasn't completely evil and dangerous. Here we have Enhasa, City of Dreams.

6. Costa Del Sol (Final Fantasy 7)
Many places have beaches, but few beachside resort towns are as iconic as Costa Del Sol. Incidentally enough, while in the area, most people probably wouldn't go here on vacation, they'd go to the Vegas-like Golden Saucer. I think for the money, and relaxation, Costa Del Sol is the perfect place to sit back and tan, and relax. Because, let's face it, Summers (Earthbound) is far too noisy and crowded, and Lurelin Village is in Hyrule... and we've already been to that Kingdom. So sit back, enjoy a coconut rum drink, pineapple, and lemonade.

PS. I actually wanted the beach place to be Summers from Earthbound, but every video had some guy yapping through it (the same guy who spoiled 2/3rds of the available Xenoblade Chronicles videos. Not very good footage to advertise a vacation package!). Perhaps next vacation cycle we'll hop aboard Balamb Garden and go on a cruise to the different port cities of various worlds.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
