Hello Everyone !!! Awesome Site Really !!! i've been visiting this site on a daily basis for more than 4 months (call it addiction if you like),, and i think that it's about time to start posting my thoughand start engaging in heated debates!

I'm from Lebanon , the small country thats in the central of the neverending middleeast conflict!

Lebanon is a Playstation country (sorry Microsoft fanboys), it's always been and it will always be, but microsoft is finally becoming a real challenger to the throne due to one thing,, Piracy ,, cause the economy in my country is week due to the endurable conflicts arising from time to time, so a large number of gamers are shifting toward the console that could deliver the cheapest games, so instead of paying 60 $ for one game,, they can thanks to piracy obtain 9 games on xbox360 instead of one on ps3 ! After reading this you might think that microsoft is winning here,, well thats not the case ,, microsoft is only able to sell consoles but they're generating 0 income from games, sales for original xbox360 games in lebanon is almost non existant!on the other half, Sony is enjoying here it's best generation ever,,, as u all now , the ps3 is hack-free as opposed to the ps2 & ps1, so the only way to play its games is through the purchase of original games, and this will bring me to my next subject: Sales for ps3 games is unbelievable here in lebanon : dmc4, uncharted, call of duty4, pro evolution soccer 2008, for example are all sold out everywhere, and fans are hotly anticipating mgs4 ,Gta4, the next shadow of colossus, gt 5, resident evil 5, FFXIII, FvXIII, White knight story,,,,,,,,, ,,,, 

i know that my country is a non factor in the worldwide sales of consoles ,, but i think that this model runs through all arab and third countries in general.

 I hope that i gave you an insight of the state of the console war in my country, and i hope to here from you

BTW enjoy your time on vgchartz, it can get a little hot now and then but we are like a large family.

imthelegend, the wii is sold out everywhere, it's price is the same as the ps3 , in the 500 $ range, but it falls into the same category as the xbox360 due to piracy.

So piracy on the PS2 was non-existent in Lebanon? If not why is it a major problem for the 360 in your country (according to you) but wasn't for the PS2?  And you're saying the PS3 is outselling the PS2 and PS1 in your country dispite the fact that those consoles had piracy?  Also which ISP do you use?

Legend11 ,,, during the ps2 days ,,, all three consoles where hacked : Ps2 , Xbox and Gamecube, so they were all selling consoles but no games,, (ps2 was more popular due to ps1 popularity) ,, but these days the only console thats not hacked is the ps3 ,, and i think that companies generate money from games not consoles, so thats why i think that its the best generation for sony,,

Hey, welcome. Good to have more non-Wii people so there is more balance. Tired of hearing the vgchartz = pro-Nintendo fanboy site crap. I don't think we are so heavy Nintendo anymore. Seems to be a lot more Sony/MS users now. :)
