Alot more doubt it. It was the same in june and loz outsold it. And loz is still full price

If someone bought a NS right now, and wanted to buy only 3 really good games, how many do you think they would have to choose from?

Nintendo to afford to have things remain at full price when there literally is only ONE zelda like RPG on it. There are at least 10 Horizon like games on the PS4 (action RPG). This is what competition does.

What is widely considered to be the greatest game ever made in one of Nintendo's most prized, cherished, and beloved franchises and one of the most *ahem* legendary franchises in all of gaming selling very well on a scorching hot Nintendo system? How about that!!

That's why I love Sony. They give us gamers such amazing prices.

But then again, Zelda is still selling at full price and Horizon is selling at $20.
So, it's a bit of a dual edged sword.

Sony should be praised for offering a masterpiece so cheap. They could sell a lot of copies at $40 or $30 but they choose to give us can epic bargain.

Hey, I ain't saying it's a bad thing. I bought Horizon for $20. I'm playing through it now.

I'm just saying, outselling Zelda ain't all that impressive when you take that into account.

I have stopped sipping on that coolaid a loong loong loong time ago.

Now I have just learnt that there will always be yet another greatest game ever made.

Personally, for me, my own opinion........ I still feel MGS on the PS1 was the greatest game ever made. What that game did to gaming is still evident in every cinematic action gaming experience till this very day.

I didn't say it was impressive though. I've still not stated my opinion on that.

Doesn't make the game any less big than what it is.
The fact of the matter is, people were willing to pay $360 + tax, minimum, to play just Zelda on the Switch. The game sold more copies (2.76) than the Switch shipped units (2.74) in its first month, over a 100% attach rate. There are very, very, VERY few franchises capable of that.
And it has consistently remained among the top selling games 8 months after its release, despite new releases coming out for the Switch. Kind of like how Grand Theft Auto V has kept selling consistently great despite coming out on PS4 3 years ago AND being a port. Breath of the Wild is the Switch's GTA V. It's gonna keep going, and going, and going, and going, for a looong time.

Lets not take this there... the nintendo in you is beginning to show.

We can say the exact same thing about tons of games on tons of different platforms. MGS, FF, GT,GOW, GTA, Halo, Gears, Mario Kart, Wipeout...... basically anything that is called a system seller.

It will remain the top selling game because as far as the NS goes its one of the only few games to get on the console. So if you are getting an NS right now your options are limited. Thats not saying Zelda isn't deserving of the sales, just saying that the same can be said of anything thats ever been a system seller.

If you buy a PS4 right now and want to play an RPG, you have Horizon, Shadow or mordor(s), Assasins creed(s), The witcher 3, Bloodborne, FF15, Persona 5....etc (and this is just off the top of my head) to choose from. And thats just looking at games that fit the RPG descrription. I could do the same for every other genre out there on the PS4/XB1. How many RPGs are there to choose from right now on the NS?

Then look at FPS.... unless I am mistake there is like only one good FPS on the NS. Doom. You want me to give you a list of whats on the PS4/XB1?

Simple economics, with that much competition? something has to give.

This is not and has neevr been about how great a game zelda is......

Yeh we all saw how it was selling at $40, hence why it's now at $20. I think we all know that's the only way it would outsell BOTW tbh.
