Forums - Nintendo Discussion - An outsider view: Perspective on Mario Odysseys how Mario Odyssey affects platformers future

Thanks for sharing your experience and reflections about the game. I don't have a Switch yet (didn't feel I needed it since I could play Breath of the Wild in my Wii U), but comments and opinions like the one you posted are increasing my interest in getting one. I specially liked the part when you mention that, even if you see videos or someone playing, you can't have a precise idea of how the game feels; I've been thinking since it was first unveiled that SMO didn't look too good, didn't feel too innovative and the "transformation" gimmik was nothing but... well, a gimmik. But every new video and very new opinion makes me realice how fun and surprising every new moment or mechanic of the game is. It looks like a game where you never feel the need to put down the controller because every new area of every map throws something new and enjoyable at you.

BTW; have you played Breath of the Wild? What do you think about it?
