I bet the criminal part of society are rubbing their hands at where some of this tech is going.

I'd bet the vast majority of criminals don't/won't ever have the expertise to exploit such tech. Those vocal about the vulnerability of a system like this better not have remote controlled garage doors or keyless cars...

Around the Network

I constantly worry about my packages left on the door step when I'm at work so this is a decent idea. It's a bit paranoid because I live in a nice area but it's still concerning at times, depending on the value of the package.

I applaud Amazon for going in this direction and offering something like this but I am leery of allowing random delivery people to enter my home. Is it worth it so that I know my packages are safe? I will have to contemplate for a while.

Poor city dwellers. My nearest neighbor is about a quarter mile away and I only have maybe 10 -15 cars that pass my place in a days time. I don't worry about packages left on my porch.

Hm. How about no.
