Yeah that's true. Variety and art direction got better, voice acting, framerate, and tone got worse.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. I like the series a lot, and I can't think why they don't have a more positive reception. This is not a case of "so bad it's good" imho. It's just that they're unappreciated.
