Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4: New Battlefront 2 Bundles

I'm not keen on that design:

"The Limited Edition PS4 Pro bundle will hit shelves across the U.S. and Canada on November 14, 2017 for $449.99 USD (MSRP) / $549.99 CAD (MSRP). The Standard Edition will be available on November 17, 2017 for $299.99 USD (MSRP) / $379.99 CAD (MSRP). If you want to make sure you get your hands on one of these, pre-order your bundle starting today."

Star Wars Battlefront II is just about a month away, and I’m thrilled to introduce two PlayStation 4 bundles featuring the highly anticipated game.

First off, we’re launching a Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront II PS4 Pro bundle that includes a customized PS4 Pro system, matching DualShock 4 wireless controller, and a physical copy of Star Wars Battlefront II Deluxe Edition. The special PS4 Pro – a first of its kind for North America – has a mirror finish and is decorated with the iconic Galactic Empire and Resistance emblems, as well as the emblem for the Inferno Squad, an elite Imperial task force featured in the single player campaign of the game.

If you look closely at the matching DualShock 4, you can spot different logos from Star Wars imprinted in the touchpad. The included Deluxe Edition of the game lets users play three days earlier than the Standard Edition, and also comes with premium digital content, including upgraded versions of all four trooper classes and instant access to elite hero and Starfighter epic Star Cards.

We’re also introducing a Star Wars Battlefront II PS4 bundle that includes a Jet Black 1TB HDD standard PS4, DualShock 4 wireless controller and a physical copy of Star Wars Battlefront II Standard Edition.

The Limited Edition PS4 Pro bundle will hit shelves across the U.S. and Canada on November 14, 2017 for $449.99 USD (MSRP) / $549.99 CAD (MSRP). The Standard Edition will be available on November 17, 2017 for $299.99 USD (MSRP) / $379.99 CAD (MSRP). If you want to make sure you get your hands on one of these, pre-order your bundle starting today.

Eager to know more about the Inferno Squad and Iden? Tune in for more from our friends at EA on October 19. Here’s a sneak peek.

Japan always gets the best LE consoles. I hate western minimalistic designs.

The box is really beautiful, the LE console....eeehhh not so much.

It looks amateurish.

Limited Edition consoles and controllers always suck in North America and Europe. Especially the controllers suck, they're usually just your normal controller with 1 sticker on each of the handles, just like in this bundle. It would be nice if for once Sony put more than 5 minutes of work into these designs.

It looks ugly :(

You may be joking, but i bet that is literally the time that they spend making these designs.

Eh, it probably looks fine in person. Again, the price is $50 too high, and is likely to get cut a week later for Black Friday sales so...

I'm baffled by why Sony removed the 500gb model from the US market. MS is going to have the cheaper system this holiday because of it, something they haven't had since 2014.

I guess I'm in the minority thus far. I actually like the look on the console. I do agree that Sony should be more creative. When you look at the special edition consoles like the Gears one. It's how it should be done. Even when the 360 did had their R2D2 console, it was fabulous. Even made the actual sounds.

I wasn't joking. Sony's Limited Edition consoles seriously look like someone just loaded the PS4/PS4Pro into Photoshop, slapped a few logos on it and called it a day.

Yes, I was thinking that myself. Perhaps (only perhaps), Sony are stockpiling the 500gb version for Christmas. It would make sense to have something ready to go up against the inevitable big Switch sales and potential price cuts by MS.
