We already know about MP3, but look at this

During Reggie's Nintendo Media Summit presentation, he confirmed that Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass would all arrive before December 31, 2007.

So what do you think?

I'm really curious to see what happens this generation. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see these "blockbusters" do very well with core gamers (and continue to expand the Wii's audience in the traditional segment), but it wouldn't surprise me if titles like Ubisoft's "My Word Coach" or whoever's "Carnival Games" compete well sales-wise with these big-name releases. The general public is a massive beast that's only now beginning to get interested in games again. Some of them will become "gamers" in the traditional sense, while others will look for different experiences than we die-hards expect. Frankly, I think the Wii is the biggest videogame industry event since the Atari 2600, when it seemed everyone had or wanted one and got a huge kick out of simple games played on the TV. As the technology has gotten more sophisticated and the interfaces more intimidating, some two decades' worth of "lapsed gamers" who enjoyed games but haven't really been into them lately may have built up to a substantial backlog of interest. Nintendo's trying to rope the mainstream audience back in, and if they succeed we're going to see heretofore-unheard-of diversity in the software library. I can't wait!

I guess I should have phrased my response for greater relevance! What I meant to say is: "What do I think? I think these games will do very well (I plan to pick up at least two of the three, most likely MP3 and SMG) but I'm really curious to see how some of the unknown, new-IP 'little' titles finally stack up against these titans. My guess is we'll be surprised at the sales trends on the Wii." :)

They're coming, but people are talking more about the big names. Rumour has it Hammer and Disaster are practically finished and waiting for a suitable empty period in Nintendo's release plans. If they're really giving us all 3 of the big first party games this year, then it seems like next spring fits the description.
