Given it sold more digital copies than the first one on consoles + PC release which pretty much is digital delivery only grant that D2 is a bigger success than the first one.

They did it to not fragment XBOX playerbase. Since the standard XONE can't pull 60FPS, it would give X uses advantage over the standard XONE.
