Oh, poor Superstar Saga remake.
Really big drop for Trails of Cold Steel III and Fire Emblem Musou.

I’m going to take a guess and aay Nintendo is stockpiling for Super Mario Odyssey

Looks like it, the same happened before the Splatoon 2 launch, there was a massive drop I think 2 weeks before launch, just like now 2 weeks before Odyssey launch. And makes sense they need to do it.

Famitsu is up

As expected, bad sellthrough on the top of a record low for Tokyo Clanpool. Compile's business is melting at a worrying pace, let's hope they get their sh** together for the next Nep and bring more ambitious content to Vita.

At this rate, maybe their next game is for ps4/pc only, all vita games sold bad this year

It's not like their non-Neptunia games sell particularly well on PS4 either:

04./00. [PS4] Black Rose Valkyrie # <RPG> (Compile Heart) {2016.07.21} (¥7.200) - 12.862 / NEW

09./00. [PS4] Genkai Tokki: Castle Panzers # <RPG> (Compile Heart) {2017.09.28} (¥7.200) - 10.389 / NEW

Latest incoming bomba - Death End Re;Quest.

Both above titles looked like they had much higher budget that Tokyo Clanpool, which seems to be a cheap-as-they-come dungeon crawler which is bizarre considering Compile Heart themselves have released something much higher effort not too long ago (Mary Skelter):

04./00. [PSV] Kangokutou Mary-Skelter # <RPG> (Compile Heart) {2016.10.13} (¥6.800) - 18.358 / NEW

It's worth noting that the last time they made a cheap-looking, uninspired dungeon crawler they were rewarded with crap sales too (MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death). Maybe they should just put a modicum more effort into their releases.

Clearly, the solution to their woes is to come up with another mainline Neptunia title, and fast!

Death end Request has the artist behind Mary Skelter, and also shows the same spirit/atmosphere. It can do wonders, including in sales. I have great expectations for this one and it's actually my most anticipated title atm.

That said, even if it moderately succeeds, Compile must do a big overhaul in the rest of its staff.

Do you have a link to such an online archive? And more precisely, Ocarina of Time sales data?

http://supernova-novx.my.coocan.jp/top301998.html

http://supernova-novx.my.coocan.jp/top301999.html

This site has a complete list of Famitsu's weekly Top30 from 1996 all the way through to 2002. Ocarina of Time's launch week can be found in issue #522 on the 1998 page. The LTD total can be found in the Top100 chart on the 1999 page.

Hey! It's like that site was made for me!

Although I'm admittedly pretty lost, with the japanense.....google translate it is. Although, does that list actually have numbers? It looks like it's 'just' a ranking wihtout sales numbers, by the colums.

Just click on the number in the first column. For example, 522 will bring you to the weekly chart for OoT's launch week.
