No this isn't. You know me better than anyone that I want to make informative and topic worthy threads. Don't let the detractors skew your judgement.

Are you really going to hold up your history here to defend this thread?

I'm proud of where I came from. It may have not been the best, but it made me into a man.

I'll admit I find it baffling as well.

GT Sport Forza Motosport 7 Project Cars 2
Cars 163 700+ 182
Tracks 17 32 46
Track Layouts 40 200+ 121
Time of Day Static Full Dynamic Customizeable
Weather Static Partial Dynamic Customizeable
Campaign Online Offline Offline
Development Time 4 years 2 years 2 years, 4 months
Development Result See above Added 250 cars and 5 tracks to existing Forza 6 content, in addition to full dynamic time of day and partial dynamic weather Added 108 cars and 15 tracks to existing Project Cars 1 content

I don't get why so many people would choose the racing sim with the least amount of content and the only one of the 3 with an online campaign. It wasn't that long ago that developers got skewered by fans for forcing an online connection on them (Sim City for instance).

Pretty much for the same reason they buy infamous or Killzone rather than Halo 5 guardians. They got a PS4, how is that hard to understand? This thread is like trying to recommend people who have a ps4/X1 buy MK8D as their primary racing game.

At the end of the day unless someone is a massive driving enthusiast then having "the better driving game" isn't going to make someone change from one system to the other, especially in the current climate of consoles.

To be fair I'm open to either game since i haven't played either franchise, I just think GTS looks cooler thus far.

I think Forza Horizon looks the coolest

It's really an easy answer actually, download and play the demo it's spectacular and you'll see why it took so long to make.

But Project Cars 2 is also on PS4, has more cars, way more tracks, an offline campaign, and dynamic elements.

Since I have the first Project cars on the PS4 I can safely say I know I've no interest in that franchise in comparison to Forza or GT anymore, it's just... lifeless, if that makes sense. Maybe it was just teething steps in comparison to franchises which are going for 1-2 decades now.

Just from the OP narrative of Sony need to change things around with GT I figured this was a Sony V Microsoft based thread from the OP and their driving games.

GTS is a sim so it's suppose to have better physics and true to life audio. It also has no microtransactions.

Want something a lot better than maybe wait for GT7. (If they make it)

If you've not played any GT/Forza game you should be aware that the numbered games are rather heavy on the simulation aspects, if you enjoy more of a arcade racer and bit of freedom I would recommend checking out Drive Club on PS4 (can be gotten dirt cheap now) or else go for the Forza Horizon games on the Xbox brand.

The main line GT/Forza games can often have you jumping through some hoops to get to the "fun" of the games, but that said there is a far deeper experience to be had in those if you want to put the time into it.
