The Switch indie gold rush continues. Crazy how we went to a few indie games a month to 18 games in a week. I feel the growth is growing exponentially at this point.

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true. 2nd UPDATE: I have no Switch 2. I am now behind

Nintendo fans like quality, and are thirsty for more games on the Switch. Why is this a gold rush though? That implies that people are expecting to strike it rich, but in reality will lose money on Switch Indies.

it's a good thing he could release axion before odyssey, otherwise it would be tottaly overshadowed by it.In fact,i expect an avalanche of indie games on the next 2 weeks on switch. They have to rush to put their games out before october 27.

I must say, October has been quite a packed month for Switch!

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I may buy it in the future. It looks like a good game.

I'm still busy with Golf Story .

When I say gold rush I mean indies are coming in expecting big success. Going by how we have countless developers say that they have thier games sell best on Switch. Sometimes more than combined than other platforms.  Indies probably see the Switch as a a pot of gold ready to be taken.

^ That's how I would have interpreted "gold rush" as well. From what I've heard, this was also apparently a bit of a phenomenon during the early PS4 era (not sure if it was to the same extent). Indies seem to fare extremely well early in a console's life cycle when the library of games is smaller and people are hungry for more things to play.

On Switch, I'm pretty sure supply will catch up with demand at some point, though. Probably earlyish next year, depending on how quickly Switches keep selling.

Whatever ensures that games appear on the system. Though it is at least a benefit of the third party AAA guys being oddly coy about the system even at this point so the indie bust will probably be pushed back until they stop thinking that nothing can sell on the Switch.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
