That's the impression I get from the news about the USA. Well, the little I hear about it. Apparently there was an incident where a player from the Seattle Seahawks was near an area with reported gunshots and police officers threw him to the ground and put a gun to his head before doing anything else. The premise of "guilty until proven otherwise" seems to be a real thing for black people in the USA. This "guilty until proven otherwise" is implied in the sentence you removed from my quote.

Yeah ... not really. Our media just overblows and exaggerates the issue because race relations is the most popular topic of the past few years. There are obvious times where something unjust happens due to race, but that's the same for pretty much every country. Even if it happens dispraportionately in the US, it's not like guilty until proven innocent is actually something that applies to black people. I wouldn't even say that's true most of the time.

Honestly .. when are we going to stop pretending like the US is the worst country on earth?

Probably when Trump get sentenced to death penalty for talking.

Don't worry we got the same trash in France.

And Brazil... I would say most of western world.

Never liked Nelly. He had a couple decent songs early in his career, but as an artist his rap style always irked me.

Really? That's funny. I'm used to citizens from other countries trashing on the United States like it's some racist hellhole of disgusting inbred idiots. Never heard anything like that about other countries, but maybe if I moved there I would!

Who do you mean when you say "we"?

The USA aren't perceived as the worst country on Earth outside of the USA. After all, there are many countries that are ruled by dictators and have many violations of basic human rights.

I really shouldn't need to explain myself. These exaggerations on your part, should probably stop ....

I do sort of feel sorry for the guy though. I remember he caught a lot of heat in the early 2000s for a raunchy music video he had made. The darn thing only came on at 3 in the morning, plenty of other raunchy videos on that block as well, but only Nelly was targeted because he was "hot" at the time.

His sister died a little bit later from a disease he was trying to spread awareness about, but everyone was just focused on his "offensive lyrics" instead of his cause, and now this...

It's actually not really better here. Of course many people target Trump but when we read the news here... you have horrible stories.

Dunno if Trump death would solve much, but who knows.

Well I was talking about media creating racial tension and distorting everything.

But on racism Brazil is said to have hidden racism, like everyone is racist, joke about it, but it never really got well know... it's most people that find offense in everything.

Well there are all those left wing teachers in Brazil that says Venezuela have a better government, regime and is better to live than USA (although they will take holidays in USA but never in Venezuela).

Don't ever dismiss how idiotic people can be.
