The jokes about how much of a loser gamers are don't work when your co-host is literally a celebrity who's obviously not a loser ... lol

I agree the jokes have been old for a long time now, I just think the fact that the celebrities are the ones who are playing these games now just goes to show how little thought is actually put behind the jokes. At times in the past I thought there was almost something cute about the joke, it was like an old actor detached from reality was best friends with some random working at his office building and he found out he was a gamer and decided to make it into a bonding experience. That's how it should be done, at least

Is this WB's way of promoting the game after the shitshow that was the micro transaction announcement. This is reminding me of AC Unity.

The whole joke is that he has zero interest in video games ("contemptous of the medium" as he puts it), and his conception of what a video game should be seems to date back to what you'd see in an Arcade in the 80's... one of the only games I remember him actually liking was Space Invaders lol

He especially dislikes games that are heavy on the narrative and cut scenes (I can sympathize with him there heh); you should check out his FFXV review, it's pretty hilarious.

He definitely makes fun of gamers and nerds in general, but he's very self-deprecating as well given that, you know, he's a Harvard nerd himself lol
