Forums - Gaming - After Two Years, Destiny 1 Finally Adds Remaining PS4-Exclusive Content On Xbox One

But it's ok because at least we could play part of the game we paid for :)

Like I said in one of the recent "shit on MS" threads, this is imho the shadiest DLC deal ever and the main reason why even though Destiny 2 apparently fixes pretty much all my complaints from the first one, I will never buy it.

^this guy gets it.

honestly, with this tactic Xbox users are paying the same amount of money for less content. right from the get go. And now, they finally release it when the game has fallen from relevance and its successor has already come out. Shitty practices by Sony.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Yeah, except there are weapons and a map and at least one mission locked out of the vanilla game you pay $60 for that wasn't made available until a year later :) Hope that helps, or maybe you're being deliberately obtuse, idk.

Also my post you quoted literally says shadiest DLC deal. So yeah, even expansions and DLC is included, hence... shadiest DLC deal. Again, hope that helps.

Stop being condescending. Are you passive aggressive or something?

Is it on disk or for download? I know when I got my copy of Destiny on PS4 I got a code for a Sparrow. I had to download ot, and if it was exclusive to PS4 id say you werent missing out on much. But if you are getting big parts of the game taken out, then id agree. You could be misleading though. Was this free dlc or actual parts of the base game?

Google.com, try it :)

Well, this deal is nowhere near as bad as Rise of the Tomb Raider's deal.

Annnnndddd now I remember why I don't feel bad for you.

Timed exclusive deals like this are the worst, most anti consumer thing in the industry.

It's just another reason for me to not bother with D2 on PC, screw Activision and Sony for making the deal to screw over two other systems.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I also didn't bother with destiny 2 on the Xbox one. Partly because of this but mostly because the original let me down. There was stuff all content no matter which platform you chose.

Agreed. Sony and Microsoft should stop this practice, but sadly, it's just going to continue.

Destiny already had lots to do. The extra content might have been too much for xbox gamers at the time.

Microsoft took the usual opportunistic approach and condemned this practice, probably because they have a much smaller userbase. It's not as if MS are short of cash, right? It seems to be mentioned a hell of a lot by their fans. So, when MS then go and do exactly the same thing, those who have followed the PR stunts by MS see their hypocrisy, which is why they get called out on it. It's a completely different conversation, conflated by those who can't accept the obvious to avoid facing the truth. One conversation is about the practice itself and the other is about the hypocrisy of calling foul and then implementing exactly the same tactic.

Only someone deliberately ignoring this would miss the difference.

The PS5 Exists.

The Boycotting bunch is so minuscule that Bungie and Activision must LOL so hard when they read these type of comments.

I never thought some skin would be a deal breaker, boy was i wrong!

True, but I still oppose these kind of practices on principle.

I disagree. Yeah PS owners had to wait a while to play the game but they got a complete edition with way more content than Xbone/PC users got and a cheaper price. Furthermore, deals like the TR deal are pretty common in the industry. Situations like the Destiny content is very much not a normal thing. And idk why you would feel bad about anyone in the first place. I made a purchase with my wallet and got burned, it happens.

Boycott is a strong word no one here has used, no need to be so dramatic, unless your point is lacking in substance :)

And it was quite a bit more than skins. In the expansions even story missions were locked away.
