The artstyle might be better but the gameplay is a lot worse IMO.

OP- Good to see Fornite successful even though the BR gameplay isn't as good ad PUBGs and the overall game is meh IMO.

Smaller maps, and far far more optimized. Along with quicker games.

Although yes I hear specifically the shooting is worse. That building though,  it is so creative.

There's also this weird glitch I've encountered that when someone is using mele next to you and you're shooting them it doesn't do damage.

Is the battle royale mode forever free or just timed?

I would've loved to check the main game out, but I heard it has very aggressive microtransactions.

Got my win, done until they fix the shit gunplay. Which, to their credit, they released a long note alongside this news about plans to fix it. We'll see though, they don't sound too sure about it.

Weird. Wonder what is causing that. I never noticed it in the streams I watched. Is it new?

I'm bummed they haven't talked about overhauling the games loot pickup mechanics. Yes the guns and the gunplay are pretty shit but the loot mechanic is the biggest flaw imho. Sometimes I pass on good stuff because I just don't wanna hassle with trying to tweak the camera a particular way to hit that tiny viewpoint that lets me pick up the grenade launcher instead of a pistol.

Definitely.  Other stuff like warframe was great too.  

 

Then you have free ps plus games like rocket league and MGSV.  You just have to give them a go.
