Forums - Gaming - I played Fortnite Battle and loved it

They announced over a million played it day 1. I played it on ps4 with my buddy and have to say it was a very enjoyable experience.  This is my second battle royale experience.  I loved rockstars tale on it with the motor wars.

If Ubisoft were smart they'd make a version of it for ghost recon Wildlands.  That would be insane.

Gonna check out some vids tomorrow. See if my interest is piqued.

I might have to try it since it's free. I've seen some gameplay of it and it barely looks like Battle Royal, reminds me a lot more of like a traditional no-lives shooter mode.

I think the best game to benefit from that kind of mode would be a Far Cry game, preferrably in an island like 3. I honestly think the third person camera makes battle royale easy af, so a Far Cry spin would be awesome.

Yeah far cry 5 if they had any brains would do this.

I want them to make like a side game where it's like Metal Gear Solid 3 meets Far Cry 3. You can like climb a fucking tree and hide behind leaves and then push people into Crocodile pits and then grab a branch and stab someone in the fucking stomach with it!

My beautiful little dream game ... it will never happen

Awesome idea.

So I said Ubisoft should do a battle royal mode in Wildlands and far cry.

But you know what would trump all?  A battle royale on the MGSV map. That would be insane.

It would be nice if they made the Battle Royale mode 1st person only. They also need to tweak how picking up loot works, how the gunplay works, and how movement sound works imho for it to be a really good PvP experience. Everything in the game now is designed around PvE which is fine but it's not good for PvP.

I haven't played it.
I watched people play it though.

Sounds like they built a better mouse trap. It looks WAY better. I love the way the loot drops and the colors. It has a smaller map and apparently it is perfectly optimized and runs like butter.

The building/destroying is fairly great also. I love watching people land on roofs only to destroy them and start from the top. Or building stairs to get to a chest.

Building barriers to hunker down, or traps to kill people.

The games are way faster.

Also I like how they have a "single player" section and a "group" section. Always afraid of trying PUBG because I was not part of a team. Seems really hard single player against all these teams. So it is nice there are two categories.

But PUBG has also a Solo mode where you play only against other solo players. It has Solo, Duo and Squad as modes. In Squad you can play alone against groups but that's not what you have to play if you want to play alone.

Played it again last night with 3 other friends. We survived right to the end a few times. Great fun this is for a free game.

Anyway this would be incredibly in ghost recon. Or even better yet on the most recent mad max map. Especially if you had the storm chasing people instead of a simple circle.
