Tallon IV or Zebes; both look fantastic to this day and have the some really well executed map design.

Props to both Skytown and Phaaze for some really interesting and unique visuals, though, despite being way too small to really compete in the conversation, imo.

I am going to have to say SR388 is the best planet in the Metroid series. I would like to point about that Samus gets infected with the X parasite on the surface of SR388 at the beginning of Metroid 4. So SR388 is not just from Metroid II: Return of Samus.

The planets from Metroid Prime 3 were the least enjoyable because the regions did not interconnect like they on Zebes, Talon IV or SR388.

My two favorite planets are which ever two are in Super Metroid and Metroid Prime.

Zebes is probably iconic planet, but the planets in all Metroid Prime series are my favorite, what can i say! The atmospherics & themes are so deep & awesome.

No idea. It would help if you remembered what game it was from. By your description of the music I'm assuming you're talking about Bryyo, but really I don't know if the other stuff you mentioned applies to it.

It was a Halo joke, i've only played Prime 1. Sorry, just thought some of the similarities were funny.
