Should've added a slot for 2600 cartridges. That way it might have attracted some retro gamers.
I don't see how they could sell this box to anyone in its current configuration.

What do they offer that is less than other consoles in that price range? Except for consumer hating exclusives.

Cross compatibility and flexibility. You know, the thing that the other consoles hate.

Of course that depends on how open they leave their distro and if it's upgradable.

300 USD for a nice looking box that fully supports Linux, sure.

So this thing is selling about one unit so far.

I wasn't really that sure about the whole shebang and they still have to prove themselves. But depending on what AMD Hardware they'll run, this might be a decent low-power Linux box. THAT I can get behind.

Looks like the Ouya finally got some real competition. I don't get the point in this, is it going to have exclusive 1st party games or something or is it just a steam box kind of thing?

I would also like to point out that they will be crowd funding this, and it sounds like it will be able to find a niche following in the open source community.

I don't think it will flop, but I don't think it will reach XOne levels of sales.

This thing....it's going fail spectacularly, and have a terrible impact on those involved with it's creation. Wives will be beaten. Vices tightened. Suicides. I hope it was worth it Atari. Oh, and again, nice name. Rumors are that Atari Station and AtariiU were the 2 runners-up.

Atari Box is the codename, right? Right??
