It's me, or is this game one of the most overrated/overhyped games this year? Realy, i see nothing especial in pubg.

Agreed, do not expect the series to last long once other (far better) games copy the game mode. Comparing PUBG to BF1 is hilarious

Honestly if you think about it Squad Death Match was fairly similar on a much smaller scale

The fact is nobody still knows whether it is a fad or a game that came to stay and became sport such as LoL, CSGO or DOTA for example.

It's just you. Try playing it and not watching it. It's only 30$

I havent played the game, why is it still a Beta?

From what ive seen, it seems polished enough to be released!

....

As much as I love the game, I have to disagree on that one. Unfortunately, I think the game could use much more optimization. Of course, it runs better than DayZ or Arma(I don't know about H1Z1, never played it).  It runs pretty good for the type of game it is. It just isn't as optimized as it should be. On high I usually go from 48fps - 80fps. It's a pretty big difference and it isn't a graphically intensive game. Of course it's usually in the 60's, but I had to mix in medium and high settings just to stabilize the framerate a tad more. It's not *bad*, it's a very playable game. I just think it could use some work.

Plus, there's even worse this issue of you can land down on the ground, and the buildings won't load in. So you can go through the buildings walls and clip.

But, I don't want to discourage anyone from getting the game. It's very stable for what it is. These big games are just a mess like that.

Happy with the optimization 90%, unhappy 10% I think the Xbox One version will either be cancer or decent. I should mention i'm a perfectionist, i'd prefer keeping the "beta" mode longer if it means more updates. I actually just played a game that was more graphically intensive and yet it was running silky smooth 78 frames : )

PUBG just works. You get into a game within 1 minute, 99 other players. No other game does this at this scale. The map gets smaller and you need to get to the area before time runs out. If they could get 1000 players on a Map I would love it. (10 different planes going in different directions)

Have you played it?

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

It is actually strange, of the same view as apart from the shrinking player area it really is just a copy of other survival games that came before it, graphics and game play are average (not bad but nothing special), spent about 20 hours of play time before I uninstalled last week. seems to be a game of long periods of boredom followed by very brief periods of action.

Can it become an eSport like those though? I know it's popular but currently it's not even a finished game. Plus it's 'random', skill in playing the game is completely out the window from the off when all you get after landing in a house is a pistol and no helmet while someone else gets level 3 everything plus a SCAR-L.

Hmm, pie.

There are plans to push it to eSport scene somehow.

No, it doesn't happen every gen. And what about me? Sorry, if I'm not interested in playing some bad game just because others are jumping on the bandwagon because they lack good games.

So Crysis, Doom, Half-Life, Metro, Battlefield, and Minecraft came out of thin air?

We don't have a lack of good games. Have you ever tried PUBG?

I would have played PUBG if they polish the game, make it not luck-based, allow you to party up with your friends, had more action in it. The way I see it now is a slower, less well made version of TLoU with the only twist being its elimination mode. Maybe once it's completed development but so far it is to TLoU what Tomb Raider's MP is to Uncharted.
