Forums - Gaming - Library Comparison: Switch vs PSVR

Which

Switch 38 69.09%

PSVR 17 30.91%

Total:55

The recent PSVR selling 500k thread got me thinking about the PSVR's rapidly growing game library, and since many people seem very fond of the Switch's library yet people seem to think PSVR got no good games, so I'd like to see the opinions in regards to the Switch's library in comparison to the PSVR's. Since there's way too many games to actually list and a lot of them are low quality, I'll post the most notable and highest quality games both systems have to offer, and then list some notable upcoming games

Nintendo Switch:

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, Arms, Monster Hunter XX, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Snipperclips, Dragon Quest Heroes 1+2, Nights of Azure 2, Dragon Quest X, Ultra Street Fighter 2, Thumper, Snipperclips, Superbomberman R, Disgaea 5, NBA 2K18, Fifa 18, 1-2 Switch, Sonic Mania, DragonBall Xenoverse 2

PSVR:

Resident Evil 7, Superhot, Farpoint, PSVR Worlds, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, Eve: Valkyrie, Rigs, Driveclub, Job Simulator, Thumper VR, Arizona Sunshine, Bound, Batman: Arkham VR, Dirt Rally, How we Soar, Archangel, Rez: Infinite, Robinson: The Journey, Psychonauts, Statik, Here They Lie, Super Hypercube, Summer Lesson, Harmonix VR, Wayward Sky

Announced but unreleased games

Nintendo Switch:

Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Super Mario Odyssey, DOOM, Skyrim, Wolfenstein 2, Dragon Quest XI, Pokken Tournament, Stardew Valley, Rime, Yooka Laylee

PSVR:

Gran Turismo Sport, Ace Combat 7, Megaton Rainfall, Zone of the Enders 2 remake, Skyrim VR, DOOM VFR, The Inpatient, Bravo Team, Monsters of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV, Dreams, Raw Data

Psvr has no games? I've never heard anyone say that

What I have heard is that many people are only interested in 1 or 2 games and don't want to shell $400+ on it

I thought this was a comparison between Vita's library and Switch's at first, which would be way more interesting.

This is a pretty weird comparison. Switch obviously has a way better library of games.
That said, I think the VR experience is more exciting. It feels fresh and unique.
Both are good.

Don't see why its weird, both are pieces of gaming hardware, both have their own libraries. The libraries are also very close in terms of size and they released within 4 months of each other. If you feel that the VR experience is more exciting, then thats already a good reason for the comparison. Lots of quality games for both, lots of upcoming quality games for both.

I have 2 Switch games vs 52 PSVR games... Way better library is personal opinion of course. But it's hard to go back to gaming on a screen, let alone handheld after playing in VR.

Switch sales have already overtaken psvr I assume, dev budget for games is a lot higher for Switch. Longer and more polished games on Switch are a given. Originality can be found on PSVR though.

A more interesting comparison (as in closer race) would be XBox One X sales vs PSVR sales aligned.

PSVR is a technological marvel, something that is simply amazing, almost dream like.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Yeah Switch is prob at 6 million or so now and PSVR is somewhere near 2 million most likely so theres no contest in that department. We will never know Xbox One X sales, literally ever

I found my PSVR to be hugely gimmicky in the end and sold it. However initially games like Rusbbif blood and that black and white horror game? Blew me away. Amazing. But then i started feeling sick and i was waiting for paranormal activity game for ages kept getting delayed ( has it released yet?) Kinda like Yooka laylee on switch.
