So, of the games that we actually know something about or are already out, what is your game of the year prediction? Why?

 There are a lot of contenders already for each system:  SSBB, MGS4, GTA4, Gears 2, Resistance 2...

 My personal prediction is MGS4 because everything I have heard about the game is that its incredible.   With the usual MGS gameplay and shooter elements and a semi open world and an amazing production and great story and the conclusion of one of the best Playstation exclusive franchises...its going to hard to beat.  Oh and dont forget MGO (which will at least be part of the the game even if its not the full version).  I know its not out yet but my magic 8ball says yes it is assured.

BRAWL!



the nintendo wii will outsell the ps3 and the 360 combined by the end of 2008.                           

        PS3 will out sell the 360 june 2010.                                                                      

  GOTY of 2008 is super smash brothers brawl.... hopefully.

Wii: 45 million         xbox360: 26 million       PS3: 19 million (made beginning of 08)

wii: 44 million         xbox 360: 24 million      PS3: 21 million (made june 08)

At the moment, I'm thinking it will be a pretty good battle between these four games (in no particular order):
1. Wii Fit
2. Grand Theft Auto IV
3. Metal Gear Solid 4
4. Super Smash Bros Brawl

Though if we learned anything from 2007 ask me again in 3 months and that list could be completely different.

Well out of your list Mgs 4 or gears 2. Imo Nintendo's unannounced Christmas game might be big enough to take them on.

MGS games never have and never will win because they have a far too heavy, complex plot for most of the mainstream to appreciate. Probably GTA4.

Im sure the list will consist of LBP (Assuming it lives up to the hype), SSMB, MGS4, Rap/Dj Hero, and GTA 4.
