Isn't it the second best August? Xbox One S launched in August 2016, and Xbox One sold 275k in that month.

this is correct
and depending on the real Switch number it may not even beat Ps4 sales in 2015 at 207.5k

2015 was the peak Ps4 year in the US

Yeah ps4 proving that it doesn't peak early.  It sells well the entire gen. So many mega hitters still to come.  No way has it peaked yet.

Thank you, very good. So it is close to what I estimated and it may reverse this year or at most in the next.

Switch lead have been very close to PS4.

PS4 have been on growth YOY so far, so we can't be exactly sure that 2015 was a real peak or just the highest selling year (because it have 3 years of very close sales then it isn't really a peak on the first of those years but more of a platô).

The poster said 2016 was supposed to be the peak year.
Yes, we don't know if 2017 will surpass 2015 or not.
It's a hard task as Ps4 needs to sell more than 3.5 million over the next 4 months.
And the competition is stronger with Xbox One X as a new console release and Switch
