Forums - Gaming - What's the best Final Fantasy game?

I talked myself to Uematsu in Stockholm when I was there for the Distant World concert, and Uematsu-san himself told me Final Fantasy VII is his favorite.

So grow up and get over that 'people like FFVII because it was 3D or their first FF' argument

Out of all the FF games i have played these would be my top 3.

1) FFX
2) FFIX
3) FFXII

FF6 (DS remake I hope so)
FF4 (DS remake I hope so)
FF7

Of the ones i've played, I disliked FF1 the most.

Oh now I see
Fernando is a new member, these are his first posts, he probably made his account just for this topic,
so pathetic some people really are

Only Sony fanboys put FF VII over FF VI or IV

Oh my god,
this guy just called even the great Uematsu-san a Sony fanboy

just log-out dude, this has been down so many times before..

''Hadouken!''

Oh man.... I have more than one.

Put in order to which I favour the most:

-FFV
-FFVI
-FFVIII
-FFVII
-FFX

-FFIX was beautiful but didnt deliver on the creative gameplay department (learning skills from clothing? Com'on!).

-FFV made me realize how awesome a skill system could be.

-I just loved FFVI for its characters and perfect medieval steampunk setting... but did miss one important detail.... a character that equips a gun as his standard weapon!

Ha, I know its a bagatel but to me its a must have when it comes down to giving all characters their own unique battle ability. Among them there just HAS to be someone wielding a gun.

Setzer was great but didnt really subtitute for the lack of firearms ;P.

However... I still hope that one of the upcoming characters in FFXIII throws cards like Setzer... its been long enough Square, its alright to bring that back into your FF games (FFXIII) ;).

Bold:   This is in fact the same with FFV your favourite.

JUST REMEMBER!!! HOW BIGGER THE SIG, HOW SMALLER THE ****

Hm... The first two are hard.

1. VI
2. IV
3. IX
... Everything else. III on the DS was pretty fun. Don't like VII much at all. I hated almost every character in the game except Emerald Weapon. He was a bad-ass, sittin' on the bottom of the ocean and all.

VII and XII

X-2 is obviously the best Final Fantasy game.
