another ps2 classic seems will return as a remaster at the end of the year, maybe is capcom thinking of making a sequel too, would be great...

update: game officially announced, will release december, 12th in north america and europe for ps4, xbox one and pc. for ps4 and xbox one will released a physical version too.

The game was gorgeous back then, and it will be the same in HD.

Also, wasn't there already a sequel, for the DS called Okamiden or something liek that?

Hmm, I remember hearing other rumours about this too, this all but confirms it.

First sentence of article:

"Copies of the Japanese magazine Famitsu are leaking as usual, and they include an interesting reveal in the form of an HD Remaster of the PS2 classic Okami."

Emphasis mine.

Because the copies of the magazine were leaked ahead of their scheduled availability date.

that's a bit of a silly remaster as the PS3 version already was "perfect" (jaggy free 1080p output, decent textures with 16x AF, heavily improved load times)

They could remake that.

But a sequal is unlikely as the OG developer are no longer with capcom.

the loading mini game made sense in the PS2 version, because it had extremely long and tiresome load times

on PS3 hardly any of the loading screens would've been long enough to actually get a demon fang

The perfect remaster would be a DIRECTORS CUT version where they cut the game's length in half and solve the pacing problems.

But for now, I'd love a native 4K image downsampled to a 1080p screen, and a higher frame rate.
