Simple, how many World Cups have Brazil won? And how many has the UK won? |
Brazil 5, England 1 (the other national teams are less relevant). But most of the best Brazilian players are in Europe with the Premier League possibly being the best in the world. I guess there is the argument that although the European leagues are of higher quality, the South American leagues have a better culture and fan atmopshere.
People actually say the same about basketball too. They say the NBA is the highest quality league, but college basketball and Europe have the better fan atmospheres.

I get where you are coming from, but I disagree with the assessment. Football in England has much higher average attendance and teams are much better off financially on every tier. Besides, there are 11 - 22 tiers on England's football league, whether on Brazil there are 4 on the national level and 1 - 4 on the states, and these are way below their English equivalents, below 11th tier for most of the smaller states' premier (or only) leagues.

Interesting, almost every person has a Northern Hemisphere bias
1. Australia
2. Brasil
3. Denmark
4. Thailand
5. Canada
6. Germany
7. New Zealand
8. Argentina
9. Fiji
10. Estonia

Iceland
Switzerland
Japan
Maldives
New Zealand
Greenland
At this point, I'm really just interested in going back to Japan, as I just really enjoyed being there overall and miss quite a bit of things from there. I have visited other countries like South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia and Indonesia, but I don't have much of a desire to revisit them. Once was enough for me.
Going to Canada may be nice though.
