I think I have spotted your problem. Buying both a 360 and a PS3 is a bit stupid. Its like having a 360 and a gaming PC.

 My sentiments exactly.

The thought has crossed my mind several times, actually. The only reason it's not boxed is I am getting the 5 free Blus in the mail any day now. If I didn't have them coming, I would box it up like some chocolates.

Indeed, taking away cross-platform titles leaves the PS3's library pretty anemic right now. Most of the big exclusives are still over the horizon.

The 360 had an extra year and several dump trucks of Microsoft money to build a strong library. Wii has incredible first party support and cheap dev costs to rapidly build a strong library. The PS3 is playing catch up in this department, and the unorthodox architecture, massive discs which are expected to be filled with content, and sluggish sales rate haven't helped it gain ground on the competition in library strength.

Luckily, a library full of exclusives isn't everything. The PS3 clearly has enough going for it to drive some really strong sales since Christmas. Sony is getting their act together, and the strong library will come over the next year or so.

maybe you should have done research before dropping £400 on a console?

@Madskillz:I don't have a problem with you just stating your opinion but that last part of your previous post sounds like flame bait. By looking at your history, it seems that you constantly go out of your way to put the PS3 down whenever there's a chance. I think your words are a little suspicious... so do you really own a PS3?

Off Topic: My PS3 is collecting dust. No, that doesn't mean I don't touch it. In fact, I go all Michael Jackson on it (sorry for the bad joke). It does collect a hell of a lot of dust though, strangely, and I have to keep cleaning that sucker off! On Topic: I ditched my 360 (not out of lack of love, I assure you) and snagged a PS3. Most of the games I have now are PS2 and I play them religiously (especially Metal Gear Solids and God of Wars). If there's something from the PSone or PS2 library you haven't snagged, you should pick it up off eBay. I don't know what style game you enjoy, but if you're into flight sims, I strongly suggest picking up Lair (I just did recently for $31 on Amazon, new with free shipping). Contrary to the BS the critics have been shoveling out over this game, I LOVE IT. The controls are refreshing and easily accessible. One thing is for sure, I will no longer put so much faith in critics' reviews. While it's short, I also recommend Uncharted. Both purchases I don't regret!

Face it - the PS3 is selling even better with the end of the format war. And some people who own PS3s aren't impressed. Count me in to this crowd. And before you call me a 360 fanboy, correct me if I am wrong, but a fanboy wouldn't buy a rival system.

madskillz we all know money management isnt your strong point, which is why you bought 2 ps3s and 400 xboxes and 3000000 shovelware 360 games. truth be told you probably secretly like your PS3 but you're afraid to admit it because after all the times you've given linguistic fellatio to the 360 it just wouldn't seem right to turn your back on it.

and yes, you are a fanboy, the biggest 360 fanboy on this site by far. you dodge people when they call you out, you stop posting when someone owns you, you post about how people got their "mommies and daddies" to pay for their ps3's when you run out of arguments, and overall you just constantly take subtle jabs at the PS3.

Except you eventually take chocolates back out of the box.

Atleast you don't have to send that box to Microsoft.

also has anyone noticed that multiplatform games for ps3 is more expensive then the 360. thats why i picked up dmc4 for my 360 and will pick up gta4 for it as well rather then the ps3

DMC4 I don't blame you, Capcom still have a lot to answer for there. But as far as I've seen, GTA4 is the same price on 360 as PS3.

But I think GT5p is a great pick up, it's a great game for just a quick play, and exchange an old game at the same time, you can get it for alot less then £20 (Don't believe the Demo crap, some full games cost more and have less than GT5p has). I'd also recommend Uncharted as well.

Its also worth mentioning that the licensing fees for PS3 titles (per unit cost of manufacturing a PS3 title) are higher than both the 360 & Wii (I don't have the exact figures unfortunately). So publishers charge retailers more for wholesale prices, and they in turn charge the consumer more.
