madskillz bought a console so he can bash it. but there on to you madskillz. i buy all my multiplat games for the PS3. to help give the 360 longevity.

On a side note, I'll agree with Dmeister on this one, I'm not going to praise the PS3 endlessly, but it's DEFINITELY got more than it's fair share of amazing games. If you don't want the PS3 to be your console of interest you can certainly make it that way :) Right now, (personal opinion guys!), I can't justify buying a 360 because it's only got two good games, Bioshock, and Lost Odyssey. All the others are garbage (huzzah! By garbage I mean not intereting and or good enough for me ^^ great play on words ya! ).  And as someone mentioned earlier, aside from gaming purpose only, it's good for a multi-tude of other things. 

But it's good that your boxing it up now, because you want it to stay in pristine condition for when it steals ALL of you gaming attention after this year :P  

 Same thing can be said the other way around. I can't justify buying a PS3 because it's only go two good games, Uncharted, and Ratchet.  All the others are garbage.

@Omac, yeah that seems to be the general consensus when it comes to heavily supporting a console, the point was that saying theres no good games for any console is a lie, and a pretty big one at that :/ As a PS3 owner, I have roughly 15 games on hard-media, and about 10 off the network, and I still have plenty to buy :/ It all buckles down to preference and how much a person truly wants to be un-biased.

If the 360 can drop down to $199 (which I feel is worthy for my gaming only console), I'd gladly pick one up for the few exclusives that I like, then at that point, I might be willing to shell out and explore the library a bit more, taking up a little more interest. Every console has an amazing library of exclusives and 3rd party right now, and saying otherwise is just silly :) It just seems to me like the original poster DOESN'T want to be interested in the PS3. And thats fine :) I'm quite happy with mine and I'm in the same predicament with the 360, I just don't want to take interest in it just yet, but at the same time I refuse to deny that it has a decent library of software, just not enough "system sellers" for me.

the ps3 in my house just collects dust from time to time .... ¬_¬... strange enough we just can't let it go, its like we have to have it...but nobody in my house hardly plays it...I guess the reason we keep it is because in case a really good game does get released for the ps3 we won't regret not buying it o_O...maybe thats why people keep their ps3 even though they don't play it...i don't get why peopel consider it a waste to buy and not play... ¬_¬

I wouldn't go as far as to say that you are a "troll" or Fanboy but whenever you post anything about the PS3 it's typically the same flame bait comments, if not a negative statement typically used to defend the 360's rep. I'm pretty sure you know what reactions you'd get before posting stuff like "PS3 is only a good bluray player and good for folding@home", I don't think there's anyone that would honestly expect anyother type of response if your posts suggest that all you want to do is fan the flames. It would be like me going to a 360 forum and constantly saying "All the 360 is good for is scratching disks and RROD", do you think the people on the boards will call me a trolling fanboy or accept what i said as the truth? Either way, I find it hard to believe that someone as established with gaming knowledge as you (so you say) would constantly remind everyone how unworthy the PS3 is but end up getting one yourself, only to constantly remind everyone that you are still as unimpressed as before....

@Omac: Yeah.... because we all know the only good games on the PS3 are Uncharted and R&C.... forget about sigma, warhawk, mlb08, Resistance, UT3, GT5:P, Hotshots golf, Motorstorm and upcomming MGS4, they all suck. right...

Please don't put yourself and Starcraft on the same level.  He is above and beyond more level-headed and realistic than you are.

here's what I want you to do madskillz, make a post or a thread listing and describing ALL of the 360's flaws without mentioning the PS3 or Wii once, it should be easy to tell if you're a fanboy by the way you spin the 360's negatives.

And I have mentioned some good things about the PS3 - you should check my history. HOWEVER, when folks are going on and on and on and on about how awesome it is and it owns all, I am wondering where they are getting their info. This guy is completely honest, not flaming folks, and guess what? Folks nearly scream 'Crucify him!' for being real and saying he's not interested in his PS3. So what - it happens.

And why in the devil would I spend my hard-earned to constantly bash? I have much, much better uses to buy something and know I hate. Nah ... I don't waste my money like that. I was criticized for my views on the PS3 before I got one - when I was reviewing games much more often, I bought one to expand my coverage (I did 360, Wii, PS2 and PC games). And guess what? Playing all those consoles gives me a pretty good overall view of good games and consoles. And yeah, even with an open mind, I am still not impressed with the PS3.

If some folks are not impressed or dazzled by the PS3, why not just ignore them? Realize some people don't see the awesomeness you see in the PS3, as some folks think the Wii is a joke and the 360 is a POC. It's just an opinion. You don't have to like it, you don't have to comment on it, just respect it and move on.
