Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft Expected Xbox One X Scorpio Edition Inventory To Last A Week; It Didn’t Even Last A Day

I wish we had numbers, but I don't see that happening. In any case, I wonder if they'll be able to ramp up production get more ready.

Microsoft is just restricting supply to increase demand.

This makes sense to you? You think I didn't want to buy one until I tried to and it was sold out? Notice nobody ever says this about Sony products... It seems to be a mental contortion used to deny that a competitor's product selling out indicates strong sales. "It's only sold out because nobody wanted to buy it and they didn't actually sell any." "Not actually having units to sell is a company's trick to sell more units." Okkkkaaaaaay.

“We’ll see. We’re gonna make as many Xbox One Xs as we can make. All the signs are that it’s gonna be the number one hit product of this Holiday, so we’re gonna keep up with demand the best that we can.”

Also funny that Nintendo sucks for selling out while MS is having overwhelming response.

Anyway without any numbers, everything is always selling faster than expected...

Yea yea. We'll see if this is yet another product MS releases no numbers for.  Just broad PR talk.

Before the SNES got taken from the Video games section on Amazon the X was still tracking ahead in the monthly chart.

I hope we get some NPD numbers on how well it sells in the US.

Yeah, but the Snes classic would absolutely outsell the x by a huge amount if it had the stock for it. It's $420 less for one thing, and appeals to the casual market in a way the x can't.

I can only imagine the quantities are low. They aren't selling X1-X1s at near the rate they want but expect me to believe a sku double the price is selling gangbusters?

Nah I'll wait for official numbers if they ever give them.

Definitely with better stock the SNES would sell way better. But Nintendo said they were shipping more than the NES classic and that did really well so i didnt expect the X to do better in pre orders.

Fair enough :)

Anecdotally, it seems like Nintendo did a terrible job with stock again this time around. I was able to order 2 but only because Amazon put it under a different listing with a weird title that I pre-ordered just in case.
