Forums - Gaming - PC2 Dev: X1X Iteration "Significant, Noticeable Improvement" Over Pro Version

The first game was a technical mess on consoles...

Let's hope they got their act together for the second title.

Having played PC1 and seeing it as subpar and graphically not even close to DC I take their comments at very low importance level, even more when the PC1 as a game and simulator wasn't noteworthy.

I dont even know where to begin here...

All i can say is Drive Club is 30 frames and its Physics.. Lets not go there.

OP - PC2 probably wont be 4k on X1X however thats the benefit of the freedom MS has given the devs with this new machine. A game can look so much better if that power was used in other departments and not just the Res boost.

They may be right, but after them hyping up the WiiU version of the first game I wonder why anyone takes the team seriously in this regard.

DC being 30fps didn't impacted at all the gameplay and its Physics were solid for an ARCADE game with some SIM throw at it, much better than something like NFS.

PC1 didn't really made anything right. And they Bullshoted the game to hell with hyperbolistic expectations that they didn't deliver. I personally didn't found the game much better looking than GT6 on PS3.

Of course X1X shall push the game more than PS4, but on a dev that doesn't really deliver what they promise and put something mediocre as end product I don't care that much. I probably played 200h of PC1 because I like racing and had only DC and PC1 at the start of gen. But I would rather play another 600h of GT6 than another 100h of PC1.

I agree that Project CARS wasn't as visually striking as DRIVECLUB, but that's a side step to what he's saying.

Maybe a side step, but I'm putting it because PC devs themselves put themselves up there. They promissed a marvelous eye candy and make too much BS for me to really ramp my expecatations on what PC2 will deliver Pro vs X1X. I doubt they will have a better showing than FM.

This game probably wont even be relevant when the PS4 (Pro) has GT Sports, and XBox One (X) has Forza7.

Well, I guess there'll be some people who want to go for this, but yeah, those two, not having to deal with being released on as many consoles, will have a much better chance of showing off the power of the consoles.

It's a racing game, not really surprised.

Be interesting to see, but I expect both Forza and GT: Sport to beat Project CARS 2.

I haven't played recent Forza to evaluate the physics as well... but yes I expect both to be better than PC2 be on graphic IQ and physics. Unfortunatelly the hype burried PC1 for me, if they hadn't put the expectations so high on a first release I wouldn't be so displeased.
