Well, when you're getting shot to pieces with Fox's blaster... I'm sure that takes away some of your focus.  ^_^

And yeah iclim4, Luinil's counters are really good especially her knack for countering as she comes back to the stage.  She got me at least 6 times tonight doing that one.  Still, in our first Marth vs Marth match on Battlefield, the first time she tried countering on the ground my Marth chain grabbed her all the way to the other side of the stage.  Marth vs Marth is like rock-paper-scissors.  Just need to pick the right move for the situation.  ^_^

Hey WoW, how did Luin's Marth do against you one on one?

She did surprisingly well.  We had three matches and though she didn't win, she fought really hard.

The win on Battlefield was with 2 stock to spare.
A win on Samus' stage (the flippy one) with 1 remaining.
And a win on Hyrule with 3 stock to spare.


The Samus stage match was intense.  The stage got me twice and Luinil's counters were brutal.  She had me juggled for a good bit of time.  I was barely able to make a comeback.  Definitely awesome playing on her part.

The Hyrule fight was my favorite though.  When Luinil got down to her last life, she improved roughly 200%.  Out of all the matches we fought I never had to work so hard for that last kill in any of the previous matches.  She was in the zone* with her dodging, countering, and charging.  If she played like that in all our matches, the outcomes may have been very different.

She may not have gotten any wins, but she's definitely getting a lot better.  Nothing but praise from me.  ^_^


*iclim4:  If you remember my Fox going against your Ike on Porky's stage, you'll know exactly what I mean when I say "in the zone."

Sounded like a lot of fun, WoW. One of these days I got to get a one on one with her. I think I could beat her to be honest.

I don't know about Luin, but when play against you one on one, I fight like more normal self, then I start going all out putting everything have into it. I'm guessing she did the same in you guy's Hyrule fight.

Porky's stage is the big big Earthbound stage.  It was the match where you got me down to 1 stock and had 3 remaining and I managed to make a come back.

Playing Luinil is always a lot of fun.  I usually don't play with Marth at all anymore, but her skills with Marth practically beg for a Marth vs Marth duel.  Much like you and a Metaknight duel.  ^_^  You're both really good with your respective characters.
