How is Blu-ray doing uptake-wise compared to DVD? Is it slower, or basically the same? It would be cool to see it become the standard...

If I am not mistaken Blu-ray is slightly behind DVD in adoption rate. It was originally doing better but has kind of flat-lined a little. I hope that when the economy picks up a little more that it would resume the upward climb that it originally had

So you think the chances of dvd like adoption rates are good? You think it'll get that much of the market?

Yes I do, but its going to take a few more years, But I do imagine that by the end 2012 or 2013 that Blu-ray will have over 50%. Mainly because I believe it might start to get forced onto people. Blu-ray release exclusives and such.
Sales for week ending 02/28/2010
Blu-ray had a decent week this week going back up to the average from last year for a ratio of 13:87.
Top 20 Blu-ray in much better shape, the ratio for Top 20 is 30:70

I dont know if thats going to be a good title for Blu-ray or not. How well did Twilight do on Blu-ray?
Avatar is the next title I see doing big things for Blu-ray, I expect at least 45% Blu-ray and easily 20% total Blu-ray for the week.
Well my target got like 90 blu-rays and 460 deluxe + regular edition. This is no over exaggeration. We are clearing out an end cap (4 four foot sections in a square) just for the movie. One side will have some shirts and stuff
