So 3DS still selling reasonable numbers because Switch shortages? Or because some people prefer 3DS to Switch?

3DS is significantly cheaper, has a large existing library and still recieves a solid amount of new games.

once Switch price lowers and support increases along with 3DS support dropping, then we will likely see the 3DS sales plummet.

3DS won't start going down till next year.  This year will be a pretty good year for the 3DS but support for it will go down in 2018.

Nintendo going to love that 100% market share in the handheld console.

and 0% market share in the home console

Sadly the Switch is in 3 markets

- Handheld

- Home Console

- Hybrid

While the PS4 is only at 1 market

- Home console

How come? It has 13% marketshare with the wii u, and 100% with the switch....

And its not like the Switch will make up all that share overnight. If some people clamoring to wait and see if there is long-term success, we should at least wait and see before talking about market share and "it'll slow down significantly once all the hardcore Nintendo fans get one."

I think I recently wrote somewhere that Pro had some stock limited issues in Japan until few weeks ago when they were start to be normally available. So that maybe reason why Pro numbers started increasing last few weeks.

PS4 will probably have sales 50k+ because DQ11, buy 3DS has DQ and new hardware so it will easily beat PS4, Switch could probably beat bouth if Nintendo has enuf Switch stocks, depending from stocks we could have in Splatoon 2 launch week 100k+, 150k+ or even 200k+.

PS4 Pro stock problems still persist according to Amazon, it's often sold out despite being sold 5-10k yen higher than the official price point. And it will sell leaps and bounds over 50k on Dragon Quest Week.

I thought you'd learn a thing or two from messing up your prediction the other day on Tekken 7 week. Namely: "PS4 not outselling Switch ever again"

Maybe according to Amazon, but I saw some infos that in stores Pro is now regularly available. I wrote 50k+, so that's above 50k in any case, it will definitely sell less than 100k IMO.

I didnt said "it will never again outsell Switch", but hardly will outsell Switch this year on week basis, and to be fair nobody thought that Switch 4 months after launch still will be constantly soldout, while I and most people thought that Switch will have regular availability after month or two.

Lots of Vita games, but none of them even remotely big.

What would be its biggest game this year?

The biggest selling game on Vita this year will be Minecraft.

The biggest "new" game on Vita this year will be DanganRonpa V3 which has already released. The only other thing on the horizon that could possibly sell well is if God Eater 3 is on Vita, but I doubt it is at this point (they seem to be going all-in on the west with it).

Itadaki Street might sell > 50k, but otherwise I don't think there's anything left that's going to sell very much.

Famitsu & Dengeki up.

It may be 3 markets vs 1 but sadly it ain't beating the ps4 in sales despite only 1 market for it!

At the end of the day Sony went from 2 consoles to 1. Nintendo from 2 consoles to 1. There's nothing here for you to brag about.

And it would look silly considering Sony's one console is selling more and is far more profitable.  Sony are definitely the happier of the two this gen.

Arms have Legs.

It's doing very well and beating classic franchises. I expect the same to follow worldwide.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

You should just stop. You know PS4 will win 3 or 4 weeks (by an insignificant margin while at that) before Splatoon 2 launches due to low shipments. After it Switch will be outselling PS4 3:1, or more, again... for a long time.
