Happy Birthday Canada!

It depends where you were born in The Netherlands. Fleovoland didn't even exist a 100 years ago.

Also crazy to think The Netherlands fought 80 years for independence and don't even celebrate it! They do celebrate the liberation in 1945 on may 5th so really the country has oly been a sovereign nation for 72 years!

The town I live in now is older than Canada as well, as most towns are anyway. And ofcourse the first nations tribes have been here for at least 12,000 years, some believe much longer than that. Plus parts of the Canadian Shield have been dated back 4.28 billion years. Canada is really very old!

Aw, it's just a baby. In England there's a pub over 1000 years old built before the battle of hastings, and it's operated non stop for that long. Never closed down once.

Canada is a great example of what happens if you ask politely instead of rebelling and wasting good tea.

I really disliked the small percentage Canadians treating it as another day because there is nothing to celebrate because of past injustices.

It is true Canada has a checkered past but with the world around these days falling in to darkness and fear, we should be thankful to be in a such a peaceful nation isolated from the worlds troubles.

It was rather ironic that immigrants and minorities were showing overwhelming enthusiasm over the nations birthday this year lol

That's a crime in and of itself.

It really doesn't matter but,

I hear that Garapagos tortoises  live 150 years.

Well guys... after a night of drinking... I am having my worst hangover ever, and only my second one. Thank god I don't have work today...
