Dafoe is the main attraction for me. Other than that, I'm skeptical.

It's an adaptation, if it is going to be exactly like the original, what's the point then. |
The point is its not a anime anymore.
Usually when tv producers think they can tell a better story than the original, it all falls apart, and ends up worse for it.

You like fucking hot garbage? That's some... fetish you have there.
The problem to me is L.
You can change the character if you want, I don't care, but please be more bold on that decision.
For example, L is a more social person now, showing off his true face on television and all that, right?
So why does he keep sitting like a idiot?
It doesn't make sense.
"Tbh the only good casting choice is the apple"
lmao.
It looks interesting, can't wait to watch it. It looks better than the live action Attack on Titan, and fullmetal alchemist

Still don't get why they didn't make this into a series instead of a movie.
Also if they are not going to cast people that resemble the original works in some way, then why not do an original story/characters? Not only would this not piss off loyal fans by whitewashing/blackwashing or whatever complaints, it would also make the story not predictable to all fans of the series. Or not piss off those fans by changing the story.
