Best Original Game
Mario + Rabbids Battle Kingdom

I don't agree with that one at all. The game-play looks a LOT like some other games. I would have voted for every other game on that list before this one except the DBZ game. If this were just a Rabbids game then it probably wouldn't have won.

Best PC Game
Destiny 2

There were other options out there yet they chose the a multiplat, not even one that was based on PC.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

One interesting fact, last year Zelda BotW won exactly same awards like Mario Odyssey this year (Best of Show, Best Console Game, Best Action/Adventure Game). Mario Odyssey is definitely on right path. :)

Dang, really surprised Mario Odyssey beat some really tough competition, like Assassin's Creed and Wolfenstien. Never thought I'd see that happen. Perhaps it's more of a fresher feeling title, as well as just looking like a lot of fun. Bais perhaps even??

Best Action/Adventure Game
- Assassin’s Creed: Origins (Ubisoft Montreal/Ubisoft)
- Detroit: Become Human (Quantic Dream/Sony Interactive Entertainment)
- Days Gone (SIE Bend Studio/Sony Interactive Entertainment)
- Middle-earth: Shadow of War (Monolith/Warner Bros. Interactive Ent).
- Super Mario Odyssey (Nintendo)

Very odd grouping indeed.

heh, I know there's not a lot of platformers these days but surely there was enough for them to have their own category... no?

-Mario Odyssey;

-Super Lucky's Tale;

-???

It's nice to see Metroid winning best handheld game!

What do you have against multiplats?

Nothing at all. I was expecting more of a game PC made than one made for console and then PC, or how each console can have their own exclusive, PC gets a multiplat, I'd love to see a PC game being chosen than a multiplat.

The important thing and all that matters is that Ni No Kuni 2 won best RPG :D

Well you seem to imply that there's something wrong with the critics chosing Destiny 2 of their PC game of the show. I don't really see why it should matter which hardware was the baseline in development - if a game is good, then it is good, regardless of which platform they focused primarily on.

I was merely laughing at the choice they had gone with tbh. I don't really think it goes without saying that if it's runs on PC, it should be PC game of the eyar, esepcially if it's voted on the other systems, otherwise PC type games may as well be done away with and largely ignored if the multiplat games are "better" in that respect.

I don't see what's wrong with wanting a PC game made for the platform, geared towards it to being nominated as PC game for that award, like say if Planet Coaster showed up this year instead of last, that would have been a prime candidate or how the new Mech warrior game could have also been a choice, that was shown off this year.
