aren't ike over 70% of NHL players Canadian, maybe Americans don't like it because they know that canadians are highly superior in hockey?

Its not boring when your atching someone being pounded into the boards.

The beauty of not scoring every 2 seconds like basketball is that when it actually happens you have a real reason to cheer and get excited about, it's not just 1 pace throughout the whole game.

But I guess if you don't find the game that exciting and don't have a team, you won't care who scores anyway.

Bingo! We have a winner! The position of the puck is difficult to find on T.V. with an added effect to illuminate it's position. For many years hockey lost popularity because of this reason I believe, and by the time the effects were added it was too little too late. I would blame the strikes also, but that doesn't seem to have affected Baseball much.

Anyhoos hockey's pretty damn fun to watch. I've been meaning to get back into it. I want to pick up NHL 08 by EA because I heard it's the best damn hockey game since the Genesis era. 

Sorry, but I can't stand a sport that has 1 pace throughout. When are you cheering? When are you celebrating?

Hockey/soccer have goals, football has touchdowns, baseball has homeruns/rbi's, basketball has... 50 fg's.

But then do Canadians have super special eyes which help them to follow the puck? I think not.
