“As we were proceeding along development, there were things we wanted to do with Nintendo Switch online that extended the development time. hen you look at the products [from Nintendo] that have been delayed, typically it’s worth the wait. Breath of the Wild is a great example.”

I was expecting new updates to the Switch, such as an actual Web Browser and some 3rd party apps but I guess that wasn't the case :/

I am just surprised something like Netflix isn't on there. My toaster could play Netflix. You would think it would be there day -100 or something like that.

Just goes to show they wanted a pure gaming machine from the get go. No more buying non-gaming related stuff on your gaming system.

One could say Reggie really switched his attitude with the Switch lol.


From the casual, cheap, accessible , fun for everyone word play from the Wii/Wii U era to this whole "World Class" and "Premium" talk with Switch. What kind PR spin is this supposed to be?

Not to mention all this talk about "features HE knows consumers expect" yet the Wii and Wii U didn't have them no matter how much fans attacked Nintendo for it. To be fair those decisions come from Japan and not him. Reggie has to spin them or he's in big shit. I'm glad Nintendo is getting with the times and becoming more modern... asides from the 3rd party issue.

And don't worry guys. I'm not hatin on this. It amuses me as a fan :)

Personally, the only thing that I feel is really missing is the Virtual Console... otherwise, I kind of like these delays as it keeps providing me with more free months of online play lol

Nintendo best not wait so long that everyone gets used to having free online; I can imagine a lot of angry people when the games they've been playing online suddenly demand $20 from them.
