Ok. I've sent messages to both VersusEvil and Volterra_90 to see if either plans to pick the thread back up. If not, I may just create a New and (not) Improved Switch Third Party Society thread. On the assumption that it's unlikely either will be returning to take control of the thread, I've been building an Access database, and am up to page 125 of this thread. If you're wondering, that adds up to over 1400 games purchased at that point. Over 10% of that total from just two people.

Anyway, I went on a small buying binge this weekend: FIFA 18, BattleChasers: Nightwar and Rayman Legends at retail, and Disco Dodgeball Remix digital.

That's great news

How's Disco Dodgeball so far? I'm not sure if I should buy it or not.

If/when you officially take over this thread - I'll have a TON of new updates for ya...   :)

*whimper*

Disco Dodgeball is... interesting.  It's basically a rougher version of a wannabe Rocket League clone.  Except dodgeball.  It's not pretty graphically - which makes sense since the game was basically made by a single person, iirc - but plays fairly well, I've had no issues with latency or network drops, and there's definitely no difficulty getting online matches right now.

For $12 Canadian on the pre-release price, I think I'll get my money's worth out of it.

Updating my games for the month of may:

-SteamWorld Dig 2 x 2 (retail both). I bought a second copy as a present.
-The Coma. Recut (digital).

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Working on it! I'm up to page 151 of the thread. So, just need to get caught up, do some error correction and I'll post at least a basic update (games and users) this weekend. Once I get the basics out of the way, I can work on some queries that can easily produce interesting data. The physical/digital divide being one - I've marked what I could from previous posts. Also, I have a goal of going back and adding developers, to see who is most popular.

One other thing, a minor rule change: I consider Mario + Rabbids, Fire Emblem Warriors and Hyrule Warriors to be third party. So if you have them, please note them. But, to balance the old controversies, I'll be highlighting them, and perhaps leaving them unnumbered in the ranking since they have the ole Nintendo IP advantage.

Format test/Top-five as of March 23:

Game Count
Sonic Mania 47
Doom 46
Skyrim 44
Puyo Puyo Tetris 43
Fast RMX 42

I think you should have a vote on that, as that'll probably help avoid a huge debacle.

That was actually my thought with highlighting and unnumbering them. More data for those that agree, easy to dismiss/ignore for those that don't.

Since the thread seems to be alive, I will add my latest purchases:

Banner Saga
Darkest Dungeon
Ikaruga

And I have Mario+Rabbids, Fire Emblem Warriors and Hyrule Warriors.
