I know. It's E3 and we're all excited a about the future but let's not forget about the great stuff available right now. I'm playing Shantae: Half Genie Hero and I have to stop and say how good it is. It's on every console so give it a try.

Oh, and Nintendo won E3.

It's a bit short, but what's there is amazing for sure. Beautiful, engaging and fun.

Yeah, I've been playing Flinthook and Curses & Chaos before & after the various conferences. We're all talking about 4k and amazing visuals, but in the end I'm still going back to a 2D platformer & an old-timey 2D arcade game.

All Shantae games are good. A very underrated series.

Was planning on getting this in a few weeks. Super busy right now, so no time to really pay, thus not bothering yet.

But question. Does the new upcoming Pirates DLC come free to all owners? Or is this something I will have to fork over $10 extra when it releases?

I didn't like it much. replaying constantly every level was boring and didn't feel like a true metroidvania game.

Hm. I didn't even know it was a series.

I think it's worse than the previous one. Maybe because they focused on the graphical leap, and the level design and exploration are definitely worse. Still, a decent game.

So, for those who have played all of the Shantae games, where does this one rank? I have only played a little bit of the original one, I haven't played any of the ones since the revival of the franchise.
