I think it's right that i start off my first thread ever about one of my favourite games, Shenmue!

I know Shenmue 2 on the Xbox seemed really outdated but i'm just wondering if there are any fans of the game here that wonder like me if Sega will ever continue the story. Occasionally i check google to see if there is any news but there hasn't been a word reported since 2006. Shenmue reportedly cost Sega a million pounds in production costs, a first for any game and i can't believe a game of that magnitude will not be finished.

So lets see what you think, is anyone waiting like me for Shenmue 3 to be released on one of your consoles?

I played the first two and though they were darn good. I would like to see game no.3. Something tells me though its not very high on sega's list of things to do.

It would be nice, but SEGA lost a ton of cash on the games. They'd rather make another crappy 3D Sonic instead.

Am I wrong to think that Sega decided to put S2 on Xbox exclusive (as oppose to multi) totally killed the sales and pretty much killed the franchise?

I beat 1 and 2 on the DC and wish the series would return. There were some rumors of a Shenmue complete collection (chapter 1-?)for this current gen somewhere in 06'.

I'd like to think that one day Sega will dust off this series and bring it back but it has been almost 7 years since the last installment so I have given up hope.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
