Many people will buy a PS4 to play Spider-man and Red Dead 2. And most of them will be newcomers.

Even as recently as the start of this year people were proclaiming the ps4 would certainly decline in 2017. So far it's in beast mode and selling big numbers without a price cut.

Yeah there's no doubt games sell consoles and that's exactly why Playstation is winning so easily.  

I went PS4 this year cause I saw what they were doing last gen. Releaseing new IP's at the end of the gen, it really impressed me. On top of that X1 screwed up E3 so bad I didn't trust MS anymore. I never thought they would do this well though. I got extremely lucky with all the remaster stuff as well cause they were all games I never got to play. Last of Us instantly became the second best game I've ever played second only to the ME series.

The Ps4 is a beast. And that's exactly why I want to see this generation go on for long, the Ps4 can sustain a long genertion saleswise. Developers are just getting comfortable on the system, and we're seeing amazing games like HZD coming out. Let the generation go on a little longer so that we can get more of these games.

Lucky you.  Going forward ps5 should use the x86 architecture making ps4 100% BC pretty easy.  I hope it happens. That would be nice for people like you who started on the ps4.

Yep it would be amazing. It's probably the #1 thing I love about PC gaming the BC is amazing. Unfortunately I hate using mouse and keyboard so I'm done with PC gaming.

I think it'll go on longer than most thing espicially with th PS4 Pro and X1 out there.
