How about they spend some of it.

| KiigelHeart said: Xbox still has the best exclusives, neither were shown yesterday though. They did show plenty of games and most of 'em looked good. I think their presentation was far from the disaster people are suggesting. That said, they really could have used a new IP announcement. I'd give them a score of 7/10. |
thats kind of the point though, if you're judgint on the presentation and the presentation didnt have stuff why give them credit for something that wasnt there?

And it's pretty obvious that the Xbox division gets barely any money at all. And that the people at Microsoft probably don't see it as a viable business.

Specially when they call their XBox preview games Exclusives. Yes we heard this word 22 times in their conference. But how true is that?
For those unaware, Microsoft allow developers to sell their games earlier in their platforms before the game is actually finished (for full price most of the time) once gone gold, the game is then published on other platforms, including Switch and PS4 for example.
Microsoft promised 22 exclusives and 1 brand new IP
Instead this is what we got:
Forza 7 (New announcement) Stay of Decay 2 (Already announced) Cup Head (Already announced) Crackdown 3 (Already announced) Sea of Thieves (Already announced) Ori 2 (New Announcement)
6 exclusives. Only 2 of them are new and the rest were announced 2-3 years ago. Everything else is either multiplat or will be released in other consoles after launch.
A full E3 conference and Only 2 announcements? Where is the new first party IP Phil Spencer promised? Did I miss something? |
shhhhhh........ its was all on the show exclusive* exclusives exclusive exclusives exclusives.........
.....exclusives........exclusives.......*
What did't brainwashing you to get use that we have exclusives? i was say this word for 97 minutes.... whats wrong with you?

What are you talking about? You clerly can't read. I said there conference wasn't perfect, I gave it a 6. You've been following me around today so you should know that. Cuphead, F7, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves, Ori 2, Crackdown 3. Some people do like those games news flash. |
Understandbale, but on Playstation games on that level would be considered secondary titles. Not the primary reasons to play the console. With that said, Microsoft still havent figured out their identity as a console maker. They cannot use multiplayer as a gimmick anymore because everyone invests in that now. (just on their own terms)
I didnt even see a game that is as good looking as horizon zero dawn compared to what MS showed.
Sony just won again. They dont have to show any new games if they didnt want to. It should be enough to show game play and release dates for games announced last E3. Not to mentioned Multiplat hits like Destiny, COD, and FIFA

Sony surely has so many games to show that they could do a 2 hours show instead of 1 hour. But they will surely keep a lot of it for later conferences, that way we will talk about their announcements all year long as usual.
